Just purchased a used LS6 intake . Now all I need are the new tubes and plugs for the coolant. I am planning on doing the swap over the Christmas weekend. Kind of nervous, have not done any real mechanical work in several years. Any tips? I am going to use the step by step from LS1HOWTO for reference.

Need help. I hit a snag half way thru the project.

There is an brass tube just behind the Throttle Body on the drivers side that has a plastic tube attached and held in place by a gray Retainer/Clip. I can not get this piece off. Anyone have insight for removal of this part?

Got a pic? I am pretty sure I know what piece that is. If so the Retainer is apox 1/8" thick. Looks like it goes all the way around? If so you simply push the retainer in (towards the inner diameter of the tube) Then pull the hose off.

Thats the one... I ended up compressing the clip with a pair of needle nose and removing. I was in the mind set that the clip must come off and could not see the next obvious solution. Thanks.
