i just purschased a 360 crate motor (380 HP) from mopar about a month ago and put it in my 63 m37 and everything has been great except the "dieseling" "run on" or what ever you may call it when you shut the motor off and it preceeds to run over backwards a time or two. i have it timed to exactly 34 degrees total timeing like the mopar tech guys said and had a local speed shop tune the carb. im running patriot tight tuck headers (1 5/8" primaries) and a fairly new edelbrock thermoquad replacement 795 cfm carb.
ive tried lowering the idle, running chevron 91 octane (the best i can get) and even those fancy octane boosters but she still turns over backwards after shut off.
any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

add a electric throttle positioner that is extended with the key on, then slow the idle as low as it will run, now it should die now
