What year from 77-81 do you guys like...and why? I am looking at getting a 81 for 2500

350 ci
dual exhuast
new paint
powerglide
rims
t tops
black etc

I like the earlier 2nd gens better but of those years I'd rather have a 77-79 with a 6.6L. They dropped the 400 after 79.

Trans Am's ? '98-'02, the '93-'97's are "ok", but I dont like the peaky nose they have. Other than those, forget it, just not my cup of tea.

i like the 77 trans ams like the one my dad has, His was a really nice one but he let it sit for 20 years and now it is one huge pile of rust with 4 wheels and he still wont let me take parts off for my 79 firebird.

oldies are goodies but the best???? i dont think so..imho, the ls1 t/a's are far superior to any of its previous counterparts, aside from the 89 tta, they dont come close in performance.

I would go with a 77-78. They have less emmissions than the 79 and have the 400 or 403. my brother has a 78, my mom a 79 and my dad a 75. The 75 is the quickest but has a few more mods. 78 is quickest stock.
