'02 Z-28 making a 7.55@190 pass...

2002 Z-28. It has a fuel injected 410 CID with a ProCharger running 38 PSI!. TCT Converters 5000 stall on Mickey Thompson 33x10.5. Has run a best ET of: 7.40@192+ with a 1.18 60ft time, with a race weight of 3,086 lbs.

BTW... Did you install the heads on your T/A yet? My buddy "SliverZ" went with a bigger cam and put down 388+ rwhp with new tuning. He's also going to be getting a Yank 4400 stall!

My heads are at Racetech and will be installed within the next couple of weeks. My dyno numbers won't be as impressive as what some of the other cars are getting due to the 12 bolt and stall but as long as it runs good at the track I don't care.

Mike Norris @ norris Motorsports "thinks" SilverZ's car would hit 400 rwhp if it wasn't for his Vig 3600. Seems kinda high for just a cam, but I've seen stranger things. What matters is at the track anyway!

That is on the high side for an auto with a high stall.. Several 6 speed cars are putting down over 400rwhp with just a cam though.

Coasted to a 7.43! Check out the 1/8 mile. 161 mph in the 1/8! With a full 1/4 mile run thats a 6 second car easily. A litte better 60' and I bet it goes well into the 6s.

Oh btw, I saw this earlier but was just scanning things(been really busy lately). I think that car is pretty darned fast and all, but what have *I* got to do with it? Want me to throw a wrench at it? Here goes... Put that thing on 10.5's, "W's" even, and see if it runs with the big dogs!

It's impressive simply being a 352(if that's still true), but hey, it's a highly modified, turbocharged C5-R minus a frame, and wrapped in a dragsters clothing. The only thing I really didn't like about the pass was the "wait right here" launch. If you have to sit on it that long, you'll never win a single round against the quick cars, provided they don't break. And having to let off early won't help either.

Yep. One of the downsides of a turbo car I guess. He's leaving alot on the table with that 60' time too. It should be one quick mofo when he gets all the bugs worked out and makes a full 1/4 mile pass.

When it's right it should be really fast. Of course, that's when they'll pull the engine and sell it.

Here's how "wait here" should look. Btw, this video contains a CRASH, but it's two QUICK turbo cars, one which has reportedly run 6's on 10.5's.
