Drag racers, what are your ET goals?

I'd like to see 11.2 - 11.4 after I get the new heads on.. Then comes the NAAAWWS kit. By this time next year I plan to spray that bitch deep into the 10s. My ultimate goal for the car is solid 10 second ETs N/A while remaining streetable enough to be driven daily.

What goals do you have for your car?

Posted by: Black99SuperSport

Cant really decide should i go heads and cam? or just want till i have the money and a 422ci stroker and they add a blower!!!!!! So many decisions. . . . . I just want 600-650rwhp

11.50 My track is such a stickler on the rollcage rules. I Do not wat toput a cage in my 1yr old car!

Posted by: VETTKLR

10's on motor would be pretty sweet.

Posted by: StoneFox

Mid to high 11s on motor

Posted by: Tang

Since the 1/4 track is so far away, my 1/8 mile goals are to put my ole Mustang into the mid 7's on some spray.

Posted by: Spenser01

im thinking 12's, after we replace the headers, and put new exhaust on.

Posted by: Grape Ape

I may shoot for 15's... In the F-350. Hope simply to get the car to the track for once! I'm getting tired of merely glancing at it each day. It's just not fully legal, and I've been dragging my FEET instead of my car.

7`s in the 1/8th. Still havn`t run a 12 in the 1/4 ether because I didn`t make it to a 1/4 mile track to race last summer.

I'm in process of building a 406, topped off with a B&M 144 roots blower. Before my 355 took a dump, the best I had in the 1/8 : 1.62 60, 7.83, @ 86 mph. Hope for some high 6s after the build. Also want to enter the W.O.W. with it in 06. Thats the plan. Vern..

Old406, you dont venture out towards Mt Airy, NC do ya ? Or ever lived out this way ? I got in a race with an S-10 Blazer once, looked pretty basic, dark blue with a Jegs sticker on the back glass. He got a good jump on me at the light, but when I pulled back up beside him, he wouldn't race again.

Posted by: old406

No, never been over that way.

once i get the 4:10's and the Nitto DR's installed, i am hoping to hit mid 13's this summer

then summer 06... we'll see what happens with a Kenne Bell

We would have been a good race, My best pass before my motor ate a valve was 8.33 at 86 mph with a 2.03 60 ft , Well maby if I had some tires

I'm hopin after some head porting, and putting my car on a major diet, that 9's will be an everyday thing for me...

Posted by: larry 1736

never go to a 1/4 mile track so i would like to see some low-very-low 6's and maybe high 5's in the 1/8 mile.

What are ya' running?

Posted by: hammerdown

im hopeing to have my mustang in the low 6's or mid to high 5's in the eigth. when i have the money to get my motor built and have the kenne bell blowzilla/flowzilla blower setup and the top it off with about a 150 shot of spary.

Posted by: Ground Rat

High 10's on motor and single digits (no particular ET) on spray. The trick will be making the car hook without breaking.

The car was a high 11/low 12 second car on motor with the old 355. The new 388 should be a beast.

That's movin'!

Like to see a 9.xx@138+ but will prolly be next year w/the yet to be built 408".
Might could do it uppin' the hit on the current motor but, not willing to scatter it.... just yet

Posted by: KrautBurner

just got rid of the VW (14,66@95)
still waiting to get to the track in the GTO

planning on somewhere in the 13.xx range
hoping for high 12's

Let us know when you get some times with the GTO.

When I get the motor in the Dart complete, my goal is to run 13's with it. Certainly won't be the fastest car here, but that may make it the fastest street driven slant six in the state.

Posted by: 99FRC

12.2's with DR's for me. Do not know if I will get to try it becasue I am thinking Cam swap now. Will likley not go back until I put the sticky tires back on. After the LT's I can not get below 2.1 60' on street tires. Just not talented enough behind the wheel.

Posted by: ultraflo

8.90's for the 93

low 12's for the Mach

Posted by: JoeBlow

I would like to see my car do a ten second run or faster. I am running a 1972 chevy with it's stock 454cid and TH400 trans. Next I will be installing, a stall converter at 1500rpm above stock, a 150hp wet nitrous boost systm, and larger rear drag (slick's) tires.

Posted by: Mykdiver

10s on the motor, and 9s with the juice.

I Believe some of the the sponsors you see appearing on the bottom or top of the pages, help pay some of the bill....But it's very sad, Evil doesn't come around anymore...

Posted by: superchevy

My goal is just to make it TO the track this year! It's been one thing after another and I just haven't made it yet and summer's winding down!

Posted by: Spenser01

i think that 18's will be fine with me, for now.

Posted by: starvin4speed

I hope to run in the 13's after a lot of practice
eventually I want to get to 12.5x with stock '07/Corvette/vert/Z51/MN6 that is on the way. Pick up date approximately 5/22/07.

Do y'all think that is realistic?
