Rabbits are really quite fearless. They are a "run and escape" mentality, but buddy, I'm here to tell you, you wouldn't want to fight one your own size, ha ha. This one faced down my alpha-male Dalmatian killer dog, who was on his best supervised behavior at the time with me right there watching. He approached the rabbit, lowered his head to take a sniff, the rabbit gave a grunt and jumped at him, and he put all 4-feet into the "emergency war-time RPM" mode, ha ha, now he won't get near the rabbit.

This is my wifes little pet, and before I finally go to know it, the darn thing drew blood on me several times. Their teeth are razor sharp and they can bite you so fast you won't even see it. They tell you, if you get bitten, and you will, you are NOT to strike the rabbit, because if you do, then you'll have a vindictive rabbit on your hands, and believe me, you DON'T want that

If you get bitten by a rabbit, or nipped, you are to just pretend you weren't bitten, because they do not react like a dog. Trying to punish one won't get you anywhere, kind of like MikeT as a kid, it just isn't gonna work.

The cool thing now is, the rabbit and I have reached a mutual understanding, and it will race through the living room (litter trained too) and hop on the couch and watch Fox News with me while I drink a beer. They love sliced apple and raisins.

That top pic, if you look closely, you'll see the full size Chris Craft I have mounted on the wall of the living room. You can see the mahogany and the flag. Guests have been known to get drunk, climb in, grab the steering wheel which is hooked up functionally to the rudder, and sit there and make motorboat sounds. Yeah yeah, I know, it's a bad influence on the rabbit.

I used to keep them and they are smart critters (they won't run into a glass door like a dog will).

You can house break em and teach them tricks. However, they can be like McCaws. Some of them are just plain MEAN. If you have one of these, forget the cuddly little Easter bunny routine. Instead, you get the Rabbit of Caerbannog.
