finally they are hyping this car... it is truly a BMW killer. It does everything in the interior better, engine is just as smooth, and its a shitload faster, for 25k less. This is the Kind of car you can expect from Lutz and GM.

I hear 2006 is going to bring an LS7 CTS model

the cts-v is one of the few new cars I think really looks good.

I like all three of those. If I were looking for a really cool looking, fast, luxury car, they'd all be on the list... A short list.

As for being alot faster than a BMW for 25K less, I'm not sure which BMW you meant. The M3 is the only serious offering right now, eh? If that's it, they're quicker and prolly faster too. However, 2K more is closer to the price(CTS-V over the M3). This new line of Cadillac is not inexpensive in the least. Of course, it's a Cadillac!!! I wanna see an STS-V up close. 4.4L Northstar?? 440hp??? I wanna see that one. Sure it's supercharged, but SO WHAT! Does it remain a FWD platform? I'm figuring yes because of the N.S. powerplant.

I believe they are all RWD, did you let it play long enought for the contest. They are giving away a new caddy if you have the best commercial.

ehh, lutz is throwing pink slips like a ticker tape parade in the engineering departments. give them a few years and most of this shit will be RWD or AWD. I wouldn't buy a WWD(wrong wheel drive) car if it had 600hp. its already set in stone, that the monte, and impala are going to RWD in 07. lets hope the rest go that way.

edit- just looked at the cadilliac website, the STS IS rear wheel drive... wow.. 58K+ for the V8 model, and not to mention the 4.4 northstar is a VVT engine! that ought to be a monster.

I figured FWD because GM's got the FWD (Bonneville I think) GXP with a similar engine. The CTS-V has a 5.7L(LS6) under the hood, and the Monte and Imp will both get the 5.3L currently a RWD setup. I see the CTS-V getting an LS2 in the future.

Better smell that thumb, it's probably stinky.

GM will fuck it up just like the Allante, which is essentially the same thing but with a different skin and crappy tail lights.

from what I've read the new camaro will be built on the CTS platform.

its called the Zeta platform. different front and rear modular sections for different size cars. supposedly every car will be built on that.

They can keep some of the models FWD, because they're still gonna have a market for fwd shit boxes. ie. average joe family going from a-b. As for the monte and the impala going RWD, I dunno why they went to FWD in the first friggin place! If Lutz is tossing pink slips around in the engineering dept., I'd say it's about friggin time!

"Sorry boys, your little cash cow to support your fucked up design ideas has gone dry!"

C'mooonnnnn 2007!!

I just thought of something... The STS only comes with a V8, right? Anywho, the V series version will be far more powerful and kinda neat to see as a RWD. I'm not sure, but I don't recall any previous STS as a RWD model.

I think the Bonneville GXP uses a N.S. engine, but it's a 4.6L if that's the case. I recall reading something about it being the 1st FWD that's also a RWD(with the GXP package). I gotta get more info, but I'm running way late for a meeting so I'm gonna do that later.
