I got one of these things for my dad's 7.3L Powerstroke F-250.. Check it out: http://www.supermotors.org/resource...s/edge-a1-1.php

It has 3 settings which add 60-100 hp and 100-250 ft/lbs of torque. It also measures 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. Not sure how accurate it is but I hear its fairly consistant.

Anyway, I wanted to get a baseline 1/4 mile run before tuning. With the stock programming it ran a blistering 19.44 @ 71 mph.

I put it on the tow setting and it ran 17.27 @ 76 mph! Over 2 seconds and 5 mph.. Not bad! Next I put it on the race setting and spooled it up a bit before taking off.. The big ol' tires barked and it stopped the clock at 16.61 @ 79 mph! Yeah I know, still slow as shit but 8 mph and nearly 2 1/2 seconds ain't bad for a $250 mod!

I still haven't tried the extreme (100 hp) setting yet. Once we get a better exhaust system and an EGT guage I'll bump it up to that setting and see what its got.

Try a turbo 6.5 out of a k-1500. That should fit.

There's a guy out at Lakeland who runs mid to high 8's in the 1/8th mile with one just like your Dads (except it's white). My Dad has a silver '03 dually, supercab - powerstroke.

Mu Unlce has a 2000 Ram Dually 3500 with the cummins. It has a custom dual exhaust with Flowmasters, better air intake and an Edge. That thing will smoke all 4 back tires. But his has 5 settings, not 3. We smoked an SN95 Mustang one night with it, and also SMOKED (literally) allt he traffic behidn us, The black smoke was so thick you couldnt see headlights through it. It was great.

My other uncle has a 2003 SIlverado 2500HD crew cab, with the Duramax and Allison trans. He has a full polished stainless exhaust, shift kit, and an Edge. Turned all the way up, it will spin through 4 of its 5 gears. But I'm thinking the 1/4 on it was like 14.xx @ 96mph. Ill ask him again to be sure.

Watch that tranny, Big D! A full compliment of gauges would be in order (boost, pyrometer and tranny temp).

The Turbo diesel sites I've visited always suggest a $1,000 torque converter and a shift kit to ease the pain on the transmission, and of course the bigger exhaust to ease the temps on the turbo.

That's a killer little toy!!! Also a better bang for the buck than my DiabloSport Predator on my Mystichrome!

That's good stuff. My truck has an ECM programmed chip(not installed currently) that brought it into the 15.3 range at Moroso before I owned it. I have it but don't plan to re-install it anytime soon. When I get my next truck I'll probably get the Edge system. I recently saw one on "TRUCKS" or something, used on a Dodge 4X4 and it roasted the rears. He put it into 4WD and it spun all 4 momentarily, then rocketed off. In the end, it ran about 2.5 seconds better than stock on that '05 model. This one was like the others, giving its own readout, but it's new(apparently) and has added features, like EGT readout, boost and rpm guages, total engine running time and a mobile camera so you can see what's wherever you place it. That's gotta be a great bonus for trailer connecting.

I just spotted an ad on ebay that's unreal, btw. It listed a 2005 F-250 SD 4X4 Crewcab Lariat DIESEL with only 700 miles on it. "DEMO" helps, but get this... $12,800 and "buy it now" attached! I wrote for more info, as I find this rather unbelievable. If it's real, I'm snatchin' it up no matter WHERE it is in the country! I figure on installing some upgrade kit within the month!!! That will include exhaust and probably an A-pillar gauge set. The system I saw probably sells for about $1,500 and can boost power by as much as 150hp(on Duramax only I think).

That may be the one, but I don't see the video portion listed.

I can't figure out the listing, which includes a handful of pics and clearly states it's in great condtion and hasn't been wrecked. This is why I don't get it. We all know these trucks sell for 44K and up for Lariat CC 4X4's. I wrote the seller but haven't heard back yet. He'll likely either avoid a reply or change the listing and tell me he doesn't know what happened, blah blah blah. I'm hopefull, but not holding my breath.

You can't show pics now and we all know it. I, on the other hand, have posted several pics of more than one of my cars and most active members have seen them.
