Astounding performance mated to craptastic styling. Must be using the stylist responsable for the Aztek.

TVR has always been an eccentric marque, and the styling has always been waaay out there on the fringe of fantasy land. You know, some people like it that way. At least little ole TVR hasn't been bought by some big company who wants to save them from themselves. I think they're cool. Ugly, yes some of them are ugly, but if you have the bucks, want to go fast, love superb handling, like to smoke just about anything else on the road, and don't mind driving an ugly car, ha ha, then a Speed 12 would be a blast.

Note they are building their own V12 motor, which is something you can't say for Aston Martin any more, and it used to be the MOTOR that made an Aston something special. All the hand work, fantastic attention to detail on the internals and even the outward finish of the engines, really made an Aston something to cherish. Now with Ford leadership, they're emasculated, homogenized, and out there sporting a V12, er two Taurus motors on a common crank with an "attractive" plastic topping on the motor.

I have one in the basement (2500-M) and at "any speed short of 100 MPH" it could out corner a Lamborghini (or "anything" else of the day), tube frame and all. They've always had the "hooligan" image, rather than the "white leather pimp image" from Ford. I say bravo to TVR for doing their own indepent thing, ugly designs or not.

If you think TVR is independant check out this guy. Arash Farboud. He was barred from purchasing an Enzo Ferrari because he didn't have previous ownership of the marque. Apparently this pissed him off and he hired two engineers to build a supercar for him. This guy has tons of money and ambition and I think the big guys should shut him down unless they want to be red faced on race day. Imagine building your own supercar competitive vehicle all on your own? And by the way, he bought a Ferrari 360 so he could be eligible for the next "enzo" that comes along.

What? Didn't like the Aztek. It's only a CRX on CRACK!! I think the Speed 12 needs a LITTLE front work and it would be a bad bitch.
