im looking to spend anywhere any between 15000 to 20000 dollars . Gas millage is important in this case driving home from duty station[us navy] im open to all suggstions any car at all.thanks to all who help in this quest for my first nice car. thanks

It all depends on what YOU'RE looking for. What's most important to you? Speed? Gas Milage? Performance Parts availability? Towing Ability? Cargo Room? # of Seats? etc.

Give us a general idea, and then some of us may be able to help you out a little more.

One thing I can tell you is "DO NOT BUY A 2000+ IMPALA!" (unless you want to buy mine, of course!)

You've got so many possibilities. Are you into trucks, big cars, little cars, suv's or what? Do you want brand new, or slightly used? What manufacturer do you prefer? You can buy something like a Focus to a Camaro with that price range. I bought my 99 Yukon last year for 10K. A friend of mine just bought a 2001 Audi A4 for 13.5K. If you wanna push the envelope I think the new Neon SRT-4 goes for right around the 20K mark. You could buy an S-10 pickup for that, and so on.....
