We are talking a Charger or Coronet R/T, right? They should bolt on. Challenger R/T springs are too short. Any 440 or Hemi B-body, whether it was an R/T or not, will have the heavy duty springs. They are stiffer, but not necessarily taller. If the back is really dragging, this is probably because your current springs are sagging and new ones will fix this whether they are heavy duty or not.

Now, Super Stock springs - those are taller. They also need different mounting hardware as they were originally designed to fit A-bodies.

Matt,

Super Stock Springs aren't TALLER, they just have an extra leaf on one side. Also, they WEREN'T designed for A-Bobies, they came out with the Max Wedge cars in the 60's. Just thought I would chime in while my mind is still intact
