First off ill introduce myself, I junked the rotary motor from my first car, an 88 rx7 and swapped in a 89 trans am 305/ t5 now all thats left is the wiring of the start and the ignition so far heres where im at, I tapped into my ON and my START keyed hot wires in the steering colum but their .6 volts is to ussy for my starter and ignition how could I up the power without doing damage. Im going to take the easy way out and rig up a push button from a 12v to the starter. What About the ignition? could I up the juice going to the ignition switch without overloading my acc. and frying the switch? I guess lastly I need to know how many volts im looking for at my coil, I had .6 from the mazda system would that me enough?
Thanks
My Parts
-680cfm quadrajet
-Flow tech after burner headers
-v-belt conversion lol
-MSD ignition system
-remote oil filter
-Holley fuel regulators and such
-Eaton M90 supercharger/ intercooler
-Lastly trimmed hood support ribs so the hood closes and looks stock!

I'd run a "switched" 12-volt source from the fuse box to power the ignition. There should be a tab on the driver's side of the distributor marked "IGN", connect your 12 volt "switched" wire there.
"switched" = 12 volts when key is on.
Good luck!

im just worried if I add the 12v to the ignition switch ill kill the accessories going from 2volts to 12volts what do you think? could I just clip the 2 volts into the switch and solder on a 12v constant?

Sounds like a hell of a great project! BTW how you got the m90 mounted?

I mounted it on the passanger side of the motor above the valve cover welded to a plate which mounted to the block via the stock smog crap mounting bolts, its close but the hood closes and the Blow off vavle is sexy as hell

ya know its kinda funny but... I had imagined basically the same thing with a first gen rx-7 running a TPI 305.
Let us know how it goes.

its going ok, the hardest part of the entire conversion is the wiring only because im making it up as I go lol
