Kickass! A nice German treat for the C6 Z06 and Ford GT to chew on

Why are you praising the Germans? The fuggers bailed on us too...Like the French did....They want our money and freedom, but handed to them on a silver platter....they can keep there Krautmobiles!

"Germans are a bunch of lily-livered, peace-loving, scaredy-cat wimps who wouldn't lift a finger to defend the free world even if their own parliament building got burned down by an alleged Dutch terrorist who later turned out to be mental incompetent released from a Dresden mental institution specifically to do it."

and when building a car, next time Germany....Leave the batmobile look out of it....

Grip is supplied in the form of high-speed Michelin tires with an extremely generous rolling circumference. Compound and tread are specially designed to ensure shorter braking distances and consistent handling, particularly in wet conditions. The tire dimensions reflect the performance of the car, measuring 265/35 ZR 19 at the front and 335/30 ZR 20 at the rear.

A collaberation between the French and the Germans?!?

He's not all hung up on the Germans, NRA. He also praises the Swedish.

If you post it, they will come, P. :attwhr: :wgaf: :yat:

Nice car. Looks a bit funky from the rear though.
Wow! snow and ice. That'll keep a driver from cutting the corners!

Posted by: Mr. Luos

I would race it.

Looks perfect from the front, then you see the rear, and change your mind.

I'm just pushing Mr. P's buttons... I know how much he likes the French, yet can't understand why he doesn't feel the same way about the Germans...

great thread... If I was given one id sell it and buy 5 new zo6s and an ls7 crate motor for my luxury ride.

I actually agree with NRA, the instigator, ha ha, but I don't put the Germans quite as lowdown on the scale as the French. Germany and France are BOTH paying a price now, the unemployment rate is sky high in both countries, and in part, it's due to boycotts. Personally, I'll never buy another product from France, period. When it comes time to replace the tires on the Socialist built XC90, perhaps I'll stoop to tires from Japan, or certainly consider those built in the US by a US company, of which Bridgestone Firestone no longer is.

So Porsche got sucked into building vehicles for the Hiter regime, and now they're having to sell to Americans under the Schroeder regime. Schroeder is on his way out, I hope and understand, because of his spinless bed-wetting tendency when it comes to standing strong in a brisk wind.

As for Porsche engineering, I'll comment accordingly, and you guys know how much I detest the Cayenne, and the greedy little pimplefaced accountants that must have been involved on the Porsche board, to make the decision to build that overweight ostentatious pimpmobile. This one's a rocketship, well done in all respects, true to the Porsche philosophy, and it looks like they've got a world beater here.

As far as racing with the GT 40 or any Corvette, ha ha, don't make me laugh. With a hundred extra horses and a 8000 rpm redline, all those cars will see is a distant tailight braking for a turn, and then the Porsche will be totally gone. Nice cars, yes, awesome in fact, but not in the same league as the Carrera GT (or price range).

As a matter of fact, I'd like to see "anything" out there built for the street that can take this car. If you've seen the videos (there are more than one) then it's pretty tough to see something getting by this one, short of full race factory support.

I believe the new S7 can take it easy and I mean easy...American made!

You got a good point there with the Saleen tt. Acceleration times are faster, balance and durability would be interesting variables. Perhaps we'll see the two in head to head competition someday? Not too many classes where a 7-litre honker can run.

What's the scoop on their engine, is it based on anyone's components, or is it all of their own design and manufacturer. I understand they cast their own blocks, but is it following someone's design, or is it all their. Just curious.

Pretty much all Saleen...The engine casting is based on a Ford design, but redesigned by Saleen....

Hey IROC, buddy, pal, I hate to tell ya, but I don't recall giving any "reaction" to your post, heh heh. Yeah, I know I've had a doubleshot martini and a couple of beers, but me having a "reaction" to one of your posts just seems kinda out of character, har har, needle, jab.

Mr. p

So what are these "turns" you speak of?

Posted by: Mr. P

Ha ha, good one! Thanks for the chuckle!

Great car all around I agree, but I could not give up my Vette. Whats the production run going to be for U.S. exports I wonder. I have always wondered why we do not have an unlimited speed highway here statside. Then I go out and drive on Interstate 75 and I know why

That I can actually believe. Here in the states you don't have to even be able to read english to get a drivers license. In FL the written test is availible in around 100 languages. The driven part consists of putting around in a parking lot for 5 minutes.

Basically if you can pass a few multiple choice questions and park you car without hitting anything you can get a license.

That dosen't mean you know how to drive though.

Posted by: MikeT

we were all stupid kids once. I remeber 3 of us crammed in my buddies RX-7 trying to top it out one night. Only hit aobut 115 though. And it took forever to get there too.

Back when I was in HS we did even more stupid things in cars... Most do it and survive, a few unlucky ones learn the lesson the hard way. The smart ones learn thier lesson from others misfortune.

I cannot fucking believe how ridiculous this topic is. you really should do a search for the "top gear" episode of the corvette C6. there is a great comparison to that car and that of the german make (i can't remember the german and italian cars it goes against, but they are no CGT's). it gets stomped in every test they put it through, and they go on to analyze the build quality. so fucking hilarious if you havent seen it yet omg im gonna have to try to find a link to post for you all now!

for now, here is an article that tells the painful truth about this.

You sure do seem to enjoy bashing America. Every single post youve made so far has been littered with anti-American BS. That kinda shit dont fly here,
You prolly stood up and cheered when all those people died on 9/11 didnt you
Pigshit? If you hate it so much here, you should move to Iraq or Afghanistan.
Youll be wrapped around an American soldiers leg crying your little ass of within minutes I guarantee.
