New PB! but some bad news too....

Got a new pb at IDD6 12.48@108.85 Got that on my second pass.
Then the Third Pass BOOM! went #3 piston. The numbers were good on the pass as far as scan data. I think I hurt the piston sometime in the last few weeks.

After all my new mods I have been running severly lean due to loosing fuel pressure at higher RPM's My fuel pressure was falling to 35psi at the big end of the track My AFR on my wide band was 14:1 With no KR due to h20 injection and cool ambient temps.
I put in a new Walbro fuel pump and fuel pressure was a perfect 75psi all the way down the track. I think since I was now making power the piston finally let go.
When I get it apart I will get some pics.

All in all it was still a great weekend!

Got the car apart Found two pistons! Cylinder #1 and #3

To bad it happened so early in the event. I am sure I could of taken another tenth or two off. The third pass(the one I blew the piston on) was already .09
faster in the 1/8th!
But none the less my time was good enough to take second in the class! My prize:

But in 1.7 ratio. With these installed I will be At .601 intake and .570 exh lift

The cylinder walls are fine. The pic looks like there is damage but that is just gasket material.

Man, that really sucks though as you were really startin to get her tuned
and running good.

What type of pistons are those? My pistons in my 2000 are flat tops.

Those are Stock pistons. They are dished to 8.5:1 Compression for Supercharged application. L67 Engine.

BTW I have the engine back together. Got to the track and some tunning. Ran a 12.66@108.29MPH with a shittier than life 1.90 60' time. Good 60's for my car are 1.7x's

The tunning is real soft in the 1/8mi. I am picking up 23MPH in the second half of the track!

I finally got my pig back to the track. I'm almost embarrassed about the whole evening. That's the REALLY short version!

Congrats on the winning of cool parts too, btw.
