Cranking Problems

Having trouble with nissan truck cranking.Engine dragging when trying to crank it.It sounds like the battery is dead.New battery,new starter,checked alternator.If you put a set of jumper cables on it still drags but will finally crank. Any ideas I am puzzled.

could be
timing.
ground not connected from block to firewall.
all i can think of.

Got spark? Coil?

I would say check if your getting a spark first and if u are check timing if u jumped it and it works then do a volt drop on the cable

you need SHIMS on your starter you starter abindix is to close to your ring gear and what you are getting is starter drag.try shimming it out a lil....shims are avalible from your local parts store in the help! section
