I have a 95 Cobra and just put in the FRPP crate engine with the E Cam, below 2000rpm it's surging, what's a reasonably priced fix for this problem? Will a performance chip work, or is it more in depth. Thanks all

What's your TPS Voltage @ idle?

Did the IAC come with the motor? If not, it may be dirty. Try cleaning it up with some brake cleaner.

IAC??? I know that's something important! I'm just starting out with all the techincal stuff...It was a crate engine and we just put it in the car, oh nice picture of that booty by the way (that's the only thing that will get me off the subject of getting my car running right, haha)

The IAC (Idle Air Controller) is the little black doohickey beside the throttle body where the throttle cables bolts to the motor.

The TPS (Throttle Positioning Sensor) is the little black plastic deal on top of the throttle body.

I wished I had a pic of them...maybe Tang has an image that can point them out.

Glad you like the booty shot. Thanks for your service!

I'm waiting for a responce back from JMS, might be able to get a chip to solve the problem
