More information about my car...I'm not sure what motor is in it. I'm trying to figure that out...it has a code of XS, the original owner said 400ci, but I was told it was a 350. It is automatic and has an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake with the Edelbrock 750 cfm carb. I recently replaced a freeze/expansion plug on it, which it has 6 (3 on each side) with a size of 1 15/16". Any help or advice on what engine this is would be greatly appreciated.
I was told by a mechanic that the transmission was a 400 turbo hydramatic, but not sure how reliable his information is.

Check the block casting numbers. This page will tell you what block you have;

If you have a turbo 400, they're a great transmisson that are built to take alot of torque.
