Birds and tires!

Wow, Yesterday I removed my left and right front tires to check the pads...no big deal right? Removed and checked right side...check. Removed the left side...what's this?A FRIGGIN DEAD BIRD LODGED BETWEEN THE CV JOINT AND ARMS!!! Oddly enough I hadn't seemed to notice the rotting smell until after I discovered the bird. I was lucky the damn thing didn't get lodged somwhere it could have caused damage! I suppose driving all those country roads gets you dead birds in your wheel well!? Didn't even know that was possible!

My mom punctured a radiator in her 79 nova once, when she hit a sparrow!

I had a dead bird stuck in my grill once. I have never really thought of the possibility of one being wedged under my car though... Seems kinda likely with all those moving parts and the intellegence of most birds.

My mom pegged a neighbor's chicken at about 55mph last year. It left a nice little imprint about the size of a foorball in the grille of her '96 Park Avenue. The car was covered in chicken blood, and she had to stop a couple of miles down the road to pull the chicken out of the grille.

You don't wanna get hit by a bird driving a motorcycle.

Ive always wondered about that, the front of my car is covered in bugs after a long drive. Motrocycle guys must be covered head to toe in the them after they drive for a while. Gotta suck if they get hit in the face.

I have been hit in the eye with a bug while driving my car. It stung a bit and was one of those wierd 'did that just happen?' moments.

I took a Seagull right in the forehead on my bike once. There was a group of them on the road eating roadkill. I came around a bend in the road doing about 60 mph. They saw me and all flew up at once. I ducked down but one hit me right in the helmet. My buddies that were riding with me said all the saw was feathers. LOL

I also hit a small bird with my front signal light. I got guts on my pants and the birds neck was about a foot long and dangling from the signal light arm.

I was driving down the highway one night at about 90 mph with a really badly scratched face sheild. When cars headlights would hit it, I couldn't see shit, so I had to flip it up. Well....that night I flipped it up and took a Junebug right between the eyes. THAT hurt like a bitch.

Also the usally Bumblebees in the knuckles...that stings pretty good.
