A MUST SEE
Florida Power &Light Working At Orlando Intern'l Airport
After seeing this I would definitely want hazardous duty pay!
Just another day at work in the beautiful Florida Sun!!! A Florida Power &Light crew putting in lines for an addition to the Orlando International Airport found the following in a culvert they were using...

The snakes are also all over here.

About ten years ago my dad ran the outside work crew at the prison that he works at. That means he took a crew of inmates out to pick up trash next to freeways, clean up along the aqueduct, clean some parks, shit like that. They were constantly finding MOjave green rattlesnakes. He actually had the convicts catching them LIVE with rakes and burlap sacks. then he'd bring them home and toss them into the freezer until he was ready to skin them and make belts and shit out of them.

Read up on that pic here> http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/culvert.asp
I've had that same pic sent numerous times to me via e-mail and decided to see what I could find out about it myself a little while back. Pics are real, but not accurate, and those rattlers don't even live in Florida.

I'd rather deal with the gator than the crowds of roving kids at the Orlando airport during spring break. After dealing with a line a hundred yards long, just to get to the security check, I decided I'd never again in this lifetime ever fly into or out of Orlando again.

I'd lock myself in the truck and tell them I wasn't coming out until quitting time.

I can't even tell what type of rattler those are by the pic. Here, we have the Eastern Diamonback and Pygmy<sp> rattler. Either can be lethal, but I don't see reason to outright fear them. As for the gator... common. A few months back, I caught a beautiful Scarlett King snake. At 1st I thought it was a Coral and I had to look into it. A few weeks ago, I got a chicken(rat) snake nearly 4' long. Actually, my dogs alerted me to it and had it cornered next to the house. I wasn't too happy, except they notified me by barking and neither tried to actually bite it. Gators concern me when we're by the water, but I can see far enough to let the dogs run and play. So far, I've not seen any in the lake behind the house. I've seen thousands elsewhere though. Gotta love "clear" lakes!
