Right now sitting in our backyard is a 1988 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z
So instead of it just sitting there, I figured it would be better to put it
back on the road. What could I do to it to get some decent Power out of it.
Cam, Turbo, etc. Or maybe Ill just sell it, anyone interested?

It has the 2.2 Liter Turbocharged and Intercooled T2 4-cylinder engine

It looks just like this only Black

Well, I would be interested... if I had the money... and if it weren't so far away.

Anyway, this car makes around 175 hp in stock trim, and it could be pushed to around 300 with some turbo upgrades. To start with: better exhaust, maybe the Mopar Performance computer, the appropriate gauges, and a boost control. Next mods would be a better intercooler and a bigger turbo, maybe a larger throttle body off some other Chrysler product (V6 minivan, probably).

I've got a couple links for you:

All the things matt said however, my Lancer has gone 14.40 with 14 psi of boost, run a bleed on that thing. I know some guys have used the TBI cam on the turbo cars becuase of bigger lift and longer duration. Lots of stuff can be done to them. The motors are fairly reliable even under large amounts of boost. I have a shit ton of parts in my garage for the 2.2 turbo, let me know what you plan on doing.

don't sell it. How much would it cost to buy a similar car by todays standards that is why I love the Lancer. A four door that runs mid 14's fully loaded, how much is a new Maxima or Altima?

14s, from a mildly tweaked 4 banger! I didnt know these things
were that spunky. Maybe Ill hold on to it and hop it up whenever I get bored during Christmas break.
Thanks for the Info guys, although the offer still stands if anyones is interested.
