Engine buildup HELP!

I'm building a Street Stock (IMCA stock car) for our local 1/4 mile dirt track. This 'engine' will be running in the power band of 6200 RPM (mid turn, or low RPM) to 73/7400 RPM (end of straight away). OBVIOUSLY we have some rules (so don't go screaming NOS or turbo yet). Actually, we have only a few rules, beyond that we may do ANYTHING. So I'm looking for good ---no, great "stock" combo ideas. I have a 69 302 complete engine out of a Z28 for a donor motor, and I also have a 4 bolt 350 out of a truck (yes those 76 MILLION cc chambers that make SOOO much power ) I can build either engine, so be sure to specify which you are refering to.
OUR RULES!!!
1.)Must be stock appearing externally.
2.)Must use cast iron intake
3.)Must use factory carb (no aftermarket)
4.)Must use cast exhaust
5.)No external machining
6.)Must be able to use engine in a production vehicle without modification (I'm not sure what THAT means....but its there)
7.)Single stock TYPE distributor
8.)cast iron heads factory only
There is one catch ---$350 claim exchange. What that means is ANYONE may take my engine (the one were building) for $350, AND give me their engine. This is designed to keep those deep pocket guys from building a million dollor motor and dominating the class.

I'd be very interested in an engine that can make power in that range with the parts limitations.

While a DZ302 can be a rev monster, I would kick myself for years if I let a genuine, numbers-matching one get claimed for $350. They're pretty rare, so I'd sell that one to the resto crowd.
