Focus's first autocross

I took the Focus out for its first autocross this weekend. I finished last in H/Stock, and about a third of the way from the bottom in overall standings. I'm definitely going to need some stickier tires. I'm thinking of putting the Kumhos I bought for the Probe on it, although from seeing how much body roll another stock Focus had, maybe I should go for Street Touring where I can lower it and add aftermarket sway bars.

Cool highlights:

The second fastest Stock car was Karen Kraus's 1LE Camaro with 300,000 miles on it. She taunted the other competitors with a bumper sticker reading "You just got beat by a girl :p." And Stock was a pretty competative field, with an M3, two 3rd gen RX-7's, and more. The only faster car was an S2000.

Mr. P may be interested in the lovely E-Type Jaguar that showed up. Very well detailed, tube framed, with the original Jag straight six under the hood.

There were some pretty mean Corvettes out there in SM2.

And one guy brought a Lotus Elise.

I wonder what class my Mazda5 minivan would be in?

I think it would lay some whoopass on some of the full size minivans....
