02 ram air TA engine rattle

can anyone give advice on this noise? when cranked up cold engine sounds normal, but as it warms up (about the same time as the engine comes down to idle) I can hear a rattle start to appear, sounds like lifters ticking. I can slightly rev engine and it gets louder, and when I idle it back down the noise disappears for 3 or 4 seconds, then comes back. i can drive car for a while until it is good and warm and noise will go away completely until shut off and cooled down some then noise returns until warmed up again. I asked a local dealer service rep about this and was told this was normal on these engines, something about how the rings are so close to the top of the piston. I don't think this is normal, engine otherwise runs fine though. Is anyone else experiencing this? car only has 35000 miles, I just bought it used
