is a 305 worth it?

I have a stock carburated 305 in my T/A. i also have a spare 305 block thats in good condition. im looking for a streetable engine with 250 to 300 horse's can i do that with my 305's or should i look for another engine? car is stock now just looking for direction. thanks

I'd go with a 350 if you can get one. They're easier to get 300 horse from. You can do the same with a 305, but it would cost more money and STILL be a 305.

that is a great article to follow do they have one for building a 350. im new to buiolding cars been playing with harleys to long!

man just like tons of people told me go get a 350 it can make more power and its a lot cheaper then a 305 unless u goin to bored that 305 about 60 over so get the 350

Who told you that boring a 305 0.060 over would give you a 350?
