what do i need to do to get rid of my CC rochester carb? i want to go with a holley street avenger carb, gm vortec intake, vortec heads and possibly either a 305, 350, or if i can get it at a reasonable price a 355 four bolt main shortblock. not sure really on engine ($$$$) but ive heard the CC carbs are junk. is it as easy as swapping the carb and distributer (thats what ive been seeing on net) or is there more? Help Please, want to start project next month trying to get as much info as possible!

Is this for your '87? And you want to keep it emissions legal? In your case, swapping to a later LT1 with the factory EFI may be a better bet.
