i need some ideas

Hey Im new I have a 92 camaro 305 5 spd w/ 3.73s I just got word from my buddy that he wrecked his.Its not messed up that bad basically just the front clip and hood/quarter panel but the insurance company totalled it and i bought it back.It has a new 350 bored .060 over w/ 305 heads.The cam? seems pretty mild.The car runs ok but quit sluggish w/ his 2.73s.Im sure itll run a whole lot better in my car w/ my gears but i want it 2 run a little better than before.Just somthing to play around w/ on the weekend.ps im working w/ a stock tbi unit.any suggestions w/ the motor thanks

Seems that there's 3 cams to choose from,

the 260AHR cam is a direct drop in with no mods, but it's mild.

the 266AHR has a little more oomph but requires a chip.

the 270AHR has even more oomph but requires a chip and an ehxaust.

If you wanna call the comp cams helpline call 800-999-0853. The reason I suggest comp cams is because their bumpsticks are awesome. I put an extreme energy XE262H in my 86 GMC with a th350 and 3:08 gears and it went 16.2 at the track. I was very impressed.

Dump the heads and buy some good 350 heads depending on the year you can get some great heads for this motor.

If a main objective is to boost power, swap those wannabe heads with a set straight off the GM performance shelf. They sell for cheap these days and save plenty of weight while making more power. Of course, I've only read all that.

I have a set of stock 350 heads.Should I use those instead?Im on a limited budget.

(350 tbi heads) I Basically want it to burn my Z28 (lt1) stoplight to stoplight.I just want to pick the right cam the first time.I was thinking of just a cam n chip(w/ my budget) should i need good low 2 mid or mid 2 high range?

well low to mid or mid to high? whats the max lift 4 those heads?
