Thsi is all I got.

2001 SVT Ford F-150 Lightning

Mods:
K&N Air Filter
A ton of stereo stuff that if I listed, no one would have a clue what I was talking about

1987 Ford Ranger "S"

This is the only picture I have online and it's photoshopped. That's what it will look like eventually only with a better paint job.

Don't underestimate your audience. What do you got in there?

Alright then...

I have a Polk Audio dB3065 Component Set up front. They have a 1 inch silk dome teweeter with a 6.5 inch woofer.

I have a set of of Polk Audio dB6500 6.5 inch Components in the rear.

Behind the driver's seat, in a box that is a tad too big for teh truck, I have a dB124 12 inch subwoofer. I had a 10 inch but that tore the spider. So I had to replace it.

The head unit is a Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X858. Attached to that is a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-CX87 10 disc changer. The whole shebang is powered by a Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X650D 5 channel amplifier running ~1200 watts. The whole thing is wired up with StreetWires power cables, power distribution blocks, and fuses. Interconnects are StreetWires ZeroNoise 6.0 interconnects and the speaker wire is StreetWires 12 guage Ultra Cable speaker wire.

Doesn't seem like alot but when new, all that stuff was around $4500. I got alot of it on sale, on discount or on closeout but I still shelled out well over $3K on it. All work was done by me execpt for the sub box that my dad slapped together for me while I fixed lawn damage at his house from the tractors that they used to pull up the concrete slabs of the patio he had removed.

Posted by: Slow Nova

Not too bad of a system there...not a big fan of Kenwood though.

Off topic, but the system I USED to have...pulled it out of the Prelude when I traded it in, but then sold most of the components over the years:

Sony Head Unit - one of their higher-end models with the fold-down face, and active LCD display on the back of the face when folded up.
Precision Power - Power Class Amps (When PPI was american made, and made QUALITY amps). one PC 4100.2 pushing an Image Dynamics IDQ12 in a custom sealed box. One PC4400.2 pushing the Infinity Kappa 6.5" separates...great sounding speakers, but couldn't handle the amps at high volume...over the few years I had this system I fried the VC on 3 of the 6.5" speakers.
And about $500 worth of wiring. Mostly Phoenix Gold stuff like the distribution blocks and signal wires. Power came through 4ga wire. Most of the accessories like terminals, fuse holders and such were Stinger.

The nice thing about this system (at least to me) was that you could barely hear it outside the car, even with it cranked up. Get in the car, and it'll blow up your eardrums, but DAMN, was the sound CLEAR and CRISP, and that's what I was going for. I went so far as cranking it up, and walking around the car listening for any rattles I could find. I stuck pieces of felt behind the license plate, I stuck small wedges between the undercarriage and heat shields, I built the subwoofer box to fit extremely snug between the wheel wells...and it was worth it.

Posted by: John

Fan of Kenwood or not, the eXcelon line is widely respected in many car audio circles. Power houses they are not but they are C L E A N, clean! Personally, out of all the equipment I have owned over the years, I have had equipment from only 3 companies that have not given me any problems. Polk Audio, Kenwood and Hifonics. I've had issues with every other company I have bought stuff from.

Well,it says the file is too big.And I don't know how to fix it.

Posted by: DeckSetter

bigjsgirl - upload them to www.photobucket.com and remote link 'em.

Here's mine....... '82 280ZX. She's got a little rust (let's call it weight reduction) but runs and drives good.

It's an L28E (2.8l Inline 6), 5spd, t top car, with the voice warning system. Yes, that's right, it TALKS!!! It's not fast for a sportscar, but it's enough to get my blood flowin (for now....).

I'm hoping to replace the floor pans this summer (seriously, there's a LOT of rot). I still can't decide what to do for a powerplant, I leaned toward a V8 for a while but I'll probably end up going with a turbo motor (L28ET) for ease of swap. Everything bolts up, and I don't have to even change the transmission. If I decide I don't need it to be too fast I might to DIESEL!

Turbo diesel might be interesting.

Posted by: LS1JAY

Here's my new ride. When I do get another car, it will more than likely be a early 70's Chevelle. As of lately, I haven't had the time to even think about getting another sports car. I traded in the Trailblazer for the 4Runner since it will be MUCH better suited for off roading and the mountains. This thing is 10 times the truck the TB was in every way.

1966 Dodge Dart, 225 slant six with A904 automatic

Here's a more or less complete list of mods, in about the order I put them in:
Saddle blanket seat covers
Aspen radiator swap
Repainted Chrysler W1 white
Aftermarket front shoulder belts
Aspen pedals
Lokar kickdown linkage
Pertronix Ignitor ignition
Addco front sway bar
KYB Gas-A-Just shocks
11.75" disc brake swap
Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings
Mitsubishi TE04 turbo on cut and welded stock manifold
Side exit 2.5" exhaust with Thrush Magnum Glasspack
Summit electric fuel pump
Summit tachometer, AFR readout, and boost gauge
Megasquirt ECU
Clifford manifold reworked for EFI
Toyota Supra 440 cc injectors
Ford 4.6 throttle body
Datsun L28 fuel pressure regulator
Carter high pressure electric fuel pump (yes, there are two different fuel pumps on it!)

Still trying to get the EFI finished...

Are you talking "Powerstroke", "Cummings TD", "Duramax" ??? Or something all together different?

Any of those would be WAY too heavy (a Cummins 6BT is over 1000lbs) and wouldn't come near fitting. This is something completely different.

My current engine is a 2.8l inline 6 called the L28E. Nissan put a 2.8l inline 6 called the LD28 in a few Maximas in the early 80s. No electronics needed, just a fuel cut to shut it off. It's low on HP / TQ in stock form though. From what I understand, I can adapt a turbo exhaust manifold off an L28ET to fit the LD28 just by redrilling a couple of bolt holes. Turn the fuel up and I figure I could get 200hp out of it at 40mpg.

This diesel will turn 5000rpms, peak power is around 4600. It's not just a low revver like a truck diesel.

And the best part is...

It will BOLT RIGHT UP to my motor mounts AND transmission.

I'm not sure whether I want to put it in the current car or look for one with less rust though. The underbody rot turned out to be a lot worse than I previously thought. I can get a floor pan kit for $400, so I've got to do some thinking....

Well I picked me up another ride back in Janurary. Seems the family urges are taking over the desire to drive like a freak....

Bought another minivan.... At least it is a stick so there is a little fun in it. The fairly firm Mazda3 based suspension combined with the Mazdaspeed wheels and sticky Bridgestone Potenza RE-040a tires makes this thing handle suprisingly well. It's fun to divebomb into long sweeping exit ramps to find the Corolla or Civic that was riding your ass drop back as they begin to lose grip in the turn.

Posted by: TNT

My last car was a POS so I never posted it. But I got a new toy around Christmas I thought I'd share. An 86 Mustang GT convertible 5.0 with 5speed......which replaced an 85 Mustang LX convertible that was a total dog with a 3.8l V6 and auto trans

Mods the previous owner made that I've verified:
JBA headers
H-pipe with hi-flo cats
Flowmasters
rear brakes converted to disc
Cobra R rims
Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve
K&N filter in factory location
140 mph speedo
Eclipse stereo with mp3 player connection
cheap subwoofer and amp in the trunk
93 Cobra taillights

Mods the former owner claims that I have not yet verified:
aftermarket cam, he wasn't specific
ported heads and intake
ECU out of an 89 Mustang

Things I've done in the 3 months since buying her:
new tires
new shocks
fixed the rear disc conversion......he left out a $10 part and reused something from the factory that took out my front brakes when it failed
paint job, took the pics as soon as I got her home from that
replaced the shitty 22-year-old speakers with some Infinitys

Next I plan to figure out why the foglights and cruise control don't work. Then replace all the fluids with some good synthetic and a tuneup. Maybe get a cold air kit that draws air from the fender. I'm also hearing good things about ceramic brake pads.
