Congrats. I have always wanted one of them, build you a good duel port motor in it and have fun.

Start no less than say a 2180cc...with an EFI set-up...Cb performance makes a conversion kit for it....On the old engine...if it runs...Make sure the heads were coated, or you'll be seen carrying around leaded substitute bottles...Don't want the valve seat going sour and have an exhaust valve eating it's way into the head....

I Miss My Ol' Bug....

Damn NRA, you're all about spending my paycheck. I don't need the stroker motor. It already has the Type 2 reduction gearboxes on the axles. The engine is a 70's 1600 single port that was built 6-8 years ago, and only run for a year or so. It'll be fine for something to run around on the trails/fireroads, and driving the .9 mile to work. If I decide to go bigger on the motor, I'll build a Type 1 motor myself, install a 2L Type 4 motor, or do a Subaru conversion (Most economical per HP).

Actually, THE Original Porsche. No matter what Mr. P says.

Ha Ha...Someone has too...Hey, check the fuel lines and fuel filter to see if they are very secured....any vibration during driving, can cause either to come loose, which can and will cause a fire in the compartment..Very notorious for this...

Put an open stinger exhaust system on it, and you'll be a "ticket waiting to happen", but at least we can call you "RAT PATROL"

Mr. P

No stinger exhaust here. I can't stand them. Besides I prefer the sound of true dual exhaust.
