I have a buddy who put a after market kmember in his 84mustang.It has a 429 in it.After changing this he is having problems with the steering arm hitting the header tube.Has anyone had this problem.Any suggestions would help. Thanks

Some of those K-members can be a real nightmare to get everything to clear. Is it so bad that he cant ding the header in to clear it?

What about adjustability of the motor? Can he move it forwards or backwards to clear the header?

There are specific headers one can buy for just such an application. Also, you might want to check around. I'm not sure if the 84's had rack and pinion or reciculating ball steering. Either way, there are steering racks/boxes with offset inputs that will help with clearance problems.
