I took yet another early sunday mornin ride. This time I went a little farther about 130 miles total. The trip took me north of Rome GA. into the chattahochee natl. forest.
My route took me past alot of farm land. Oh how I'd love to own a spread out there somewhere.
The road curves around the backside of that hill and there is a gravel road going up near the top. When I stopped to take this one I was amazed at how quiet and peaceful the countryside is in the morning. At one point I passed an old man sitting in his rockingchair on his front porch smoking a pipe. I hope thats me someday.
A shot of the same road looking the other way
There were alot of curvy roads on my route, unfortunatly there where few places I could stop and get a picture. I think I need a passenger who likes to take pics. Or maybe tape the camera to my helmet with a remote trigger?
Here is a shot of that gravel road going up the mountain. 2 miles long and 800ft up. I hear the view from the top is very nice. I was tempted to take the bike up but thought better of it. As my dad said had a hard time with his pickup when he went up before.
Once again I had a great ride. Its really nice having the road to yourself early in the morning. Before it gets hot and the sunday drivers come out.

Beautiful country up that way, Mike! I'm definatly going to own a piece of it one day. I'm saving up now. I'll be back up there in Dec this year for a week or so. Send me some more pics like that anytime if you end up taking some more @ ls1jay@yahoo.com

0 people eh? Try using some deodorant will ya.
Ya dude, always liked your pics. You have a good eye and seem to get great pics without an expensive camera. I'm still using that old minolta I got from you. I plan to upgrade but money is tight. One problem up here is there is rarely anywhere to pull off the road. I'd have taken like 50 pics if I had a chance to stop more often.
I don't know why my pictures always look crappy. I used to be able to take some decent ones with an ooooold canon 35mm SLR. I guess I've lost the touch. Or maybe I should go back to using film in a 30 year old camera?
Anyway I'll probibly take some more next sunday

Mike, those pics arent bad at all. That Minolta isn't the best camera by any means. It's kinda old and out dated as far as digital cameras go. Atleast you don't have much tied up in it. Anyway, enjoy the beauty up there! I just got back after 9 days up there last month and I miss it already. Any idea how far you are from Murphy N.C? I know Murphy is only about 5 miles or so from the Georgia line.

Just park it next to the old camaro with the weeds growing through the floorboards. Nobody will ever notice.
