BBC in a trans am?

Has any one installed a big block chevy 454 in a 1984 trans am? I have a chance to buy a trans am roller & would like to install the BBc I have for racing. Will it fit with out major mods? Would like to hear from those who have allready done this. Thanks ~Dave S.
