Alright, new poll, which one would you take and why?

In the first corner we have the 1998 Ferrari F355 F1

This red beauty puts down about 375 horses from a 40 valve DOHC 3.5L (213ci) V8 and weighs about 3290 pounds. What's it got going for it? It's a fucking Ferrari for chissakes! One of the best Ferraris ever made in alot of people's eyes. Sure the 360 Modena has more power and is faster and it also comes in those tits Challenge Stradale trim levels but it never would have been without the F355 coming first. That and it's 6 speed gear box is essentially a Ferrari F1 transmission.

The challenger is this 1998 Lotus Esprit V8

This silver bullet has a 3.5L 32 valve DOHC V8. Much like the Ferrari but with 8 less valves. It makes up for it though with twin turbos! They push horsepower output to an under-rated 350 horses. Yeah, 25 less horses than the Ferrari but, this Lotus only weighs in at 3045 pounds! That's 245 pounds less which makes up for that 25 horse deficit in droves! But alas, the Lotus only has a 5 speed. But you know what? This beasty is making 295 pound feet of torque at 4250 RPM where as the Ferrari is hitting it's 268 foot pound torque peak at a very lofty 6,000 RPM. The Ferrari's final drive is a short 4.35:1 while teh Lotus has a fairly tall 3.89:1 comparativly.

What's all that mean? The Lotus cost about 89K and will spank the Ferrari in every aspect. The Ferrari costs twice as much and still loses. The Lotus has coachwork not only designed by but also build by Pininfarina. Not to mention it's pure sex! The Ferrari has Pininfarina coachwork too but it's more conservative than the Lotus. Both with stick out in a crowd 'cause teh Lotus is yelling LOOK AT ME but the Ferrari just flashes that yellow badge...kind of like being able to pick out the only putz wearing a Member's Only jacket. It's understated but undeniably recognizable. Either way, you pull up infront of a club in either of these rides and panties are dropping everywhere!

So which is it? They are both direct competition and both are about as hardcore performance wise as one can get. These are the ultimate packages and they went head to head in the market place with the slight edge to the Lotus. So which would you take?

I know the Lotus would SPANK the Ferrari, however, that said.

The Ferrari would bring you WAY more :jeepgirl: than that UGLY Lotus..........

ps, 89k for the Lotus is not a bad price for a HAUL ASS car. They just need to work on the LOOKS.............. IMO
