i have a 305 in a 85 Monte Carlo with one single turbo , mild cam,intake.and a carb how much horsepower u think it shootin or wat else u think i need to do

Yes, good point. The 305 is not a junk engine by far. For performance purposes, it leaves a great deal to be desired. There are vitually no performance options for a 305 unless you feel like doing your own machine work, fabrication and such. A 350 would be a better option. If you are that hell bent on have a 305 though, you can destroke a 350 to get back down to the 327 range. I don't think you can get quite back into the 305 range but 327 sounds so much cooler than 305.
You could always get a 4.3L V6 which is a 350 mising two cylinders. Pretty much literally. The two engines share so many part numbers it's like GM said "Hey, we got this 350 and it's totally fucking spectacular! We need a good V6 though. What should we do?" Then Joe Blow employee says "Hey y'all, I's gots a sawzall in mah truck! Lets just cut two cylinders off!" Then GM said "Hot damn! It's totally hickarific but it might just work!" Then viola! The 4.3L V6 was borned!

The 4.3 is an excellent engine, just do a search for GMC Syclone or Typhoon.
Turbo 4.3 from the factory!!
But yeah a 305 is junk unless you need a good boat anchor
350+ is the way to go.
