Need help ID'ing a SBC 350

I need to find the casting #'s on a 350. Please tell me if I'm looking in the wrong spot. I was told "Driver's side, back of the block, below the head."

Here's a couple of pictures from my phone. same location, different angle.
it seems as if the casting # should be on the flat spot under the wires that are wrapped in electrical tape. All it says there is "GM 5.7L"

I know the casting # should be an 8 digit # starting with 10 or 14...I just can't find the damn thing.

BTW, this is in a boat.

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. On mortec.com, it states "On the side of some later blocks the last three digits of the block casting number are cast into the block". In big bold type, was '638' on the side. There's only one casting # on mortec.com that ends with 638 that belongs to a 350.
