My friends 5.0, he wants to get a chip Im trying to help him out, how is this chip and the main thing he wants to know is how much of a hp and trq gain do u get, thanks.

Let's see, it's only about 3:45PM EST. Most people are at work and busy doing things like...thier jobs! You posted this last night at 8:49PM EST a time when most people are not worried about the Internet and are more concerned about getting thier kids and themselves to bed. In that time, you have become so impatient to leave a post that is nothing but flamebait.

Didja ever think that while many people here have extensive knowledge about all things automotive, they may not have any info on SCT chips? If you are that desperate for info, why don't you go find SCT's website, get some contact info and call them up. Either that or look for an authorized dealer and ask thier opinion. Better yet! Find a forum full of people who waste thier time shoving chips into a Mass-Air based EFI system which has very little control over things other than timing and fuel pressure and get some info from them?

You know where you can find all of that info? This neat little place called a SEARCH ENGINE. You can find them at http://www.google.com or http://www.yahoo.com or http://www.altavista.com or any number of others that will do exactly what you want and give you the instant satisfaction your require.

Otherwise, shut up and sit down because getting all bitchy because the rest of us haven't graced you with an answer in less than 24 hours will not get you anywhere here and will most likely get you ignored. You could, if you were so inclined, go out there and find people on the Internet and tell them about this great little place you found called http://www.modernmusclecars.net and how there are a great bunch of people there with immense amounts of knowledge who are willing to help out with any problem you can think of provided you don't start whining about how long it takes to respond. Then, if enough people come, you will have a community big enough that someone will always be on and willing to give you that instantaneous response.

On the flip side, if you think it's so dead here and it sucks because of it then, you don't have to stay. But, again, you could help to remedy the "dead" situation here.

That and your claims of response time are outlandish and unfounded.

Otherwise, good things come to those who wait and patience is a virtue.

SCT is a company that is not affiliated with us anylonger.
5.0L cars with no real mods=18hp and 26 ftlbs of torque at the wheels. This is a estimate. Might be more.
Such as CAI, cat back, shorty headers
Thats all I know...
