Hopefully sometime soon I will be buying a '99 Trans Am and I was wondering what the best sounding exhaust is that I could install on it and what else I could need to get that raw muscle tone. I know I'd need a new cam and intake but I'm more concerned with the exhaust. Any input would be appreciated.

I think exhaust is a matter of taste on these things. I have Mac Mid lengths, no cats and Magan Flow on my bird it sounds good, but can be a little on the loud side.

Really the LoudMouth is bad? I heard good things about it but never actually heard it myself. Ofcourse those were on Mustangs not Trans Ams.

My cousin has the loud mouth on her SS, Its obnoxiously loud and has a really bad tone IMO.

I like my Flowmaster 40-series. Sounds pretty damn good for a little 2.8 liter V6! Mine's MPFI, so that helps.
