today i just recieved a 305 .060 over complete im looking to put it in a monte carlo i was wondering what to do with wit about 500 bucks could it keep up wit a 350???

Sell it to someone who needs a truck engine and get you a 350.

To be honest, the only way you're going to make it hang with a 350 is a nitrous kit. The biggest thing you could do with out nitrous is a cam swap and installing a 3000-stall converter. That should run about $500 bucks.

see i want a motor that everybody else dosent use my bro and best friend have 350's and i want to keep it i was thinkin more like intake headers and cam

Headers, intake and cam are a given. Cam makes the biggest difference.

Then get your hands on a 327 or a 400 Small block. A 305 just isnt a good performance engine.
