My Turd is TUNED!!! *Pics/Video*

Got it tuned at Speed Inc. in Schaumburg by Bob Kurgan from Kurgan Motorsports...

Car without the SCT dyno'd at 239STD (didn't ask what the SAE was)

But with the tune, put out 254STD and 248SAE

Only real mods on the car are:
-Magnapack Catback
-Offroad Prochamber
-K&N with C&L inlet

So probably gained about 15rwhp with the tune, but most importantly, the car runs alot smoother now. It never ran great before, Bob Kurgan said it was running pretty lean, but as soon as i pulled out of the lot, i immediately felt a difference and the car runs smooth like stock Could have ran better possibly if we went later, it was kinda humid in there... hell, my buddies Blown Mach was only making 6psi when he got there, and when we left he was back up to 10psi Probably could have eeked out a few more ponies if we did it at 10:30 at night

Here is the dyno graphs for those interested:
SAE:

STD:

Couple pictures...

And a short video of the final pull (crappy video quality, but sounds pretty cool... can't wait to get the 4.10's in next monday so it hits harder haha)...

After the gears go in on Monday, thats the last thing i spend any money on until i can get the full Vortech kit Car looks the way i want it, now it has a nice aggressive tune and is all ready for the Modular Powerhouse mongoose kit

Neato. It does sound nice! Get some times up after you swap the new gears in!

SS > GT

SS is supposed to go against the Cobra anyways

Best time so far was a 13.9, but all the others were about 14.0-14.4... that was untuned without a gear.

Now its gonna snow about 12" today, So there will be no track passes till Spring

Hopefully i can get into the 13's solid with this setup... then maybe get a used nitrous kit for the summer to get me into the 12's

Curious, how did your Z dyno at 310rwhp when they came off the lot rated at 310???

Posted by: merczephyr

That thing does sound good jv6.

I don't know about the standard Z28's, but I know the SS and WS6 Pumpjacks were underrated 20-40 h.p. (depending on who you ask). Samething with the 03/04 Terminator Cobras, they were underrated 30 or so h.p.

Well I suppose they wre a bit under rated. If you recall that was the car I went 12.92 at 110.02 mph bone stock.

I was just messing with you too! You should run mid 13's easily. A 100 shot should put you around 12.80

I've seen a "few" bone stock M6 LS1's dyno at 320+ usually 310-315 rwhp and A4's in the 300-310 range. My SS went 13.01@107 bone stock w/307 rwhp and 12.71@110 with cheapo Mac equal length headers.

Just get the supercharger and be done with it!

DARN YOU!!! We didn't get ANY accumulation here and I'm aching to try out my new 4x4.

Wow. It's interesting to see a near-stock car pick up that much with some tweaking.

I'll be getting the Dart dyno tuned once I wrap up my intercooler installation and radiator swap - which I started today. I'm putting a Griffin circle track radiator and a pretty decent sized front mount intercooler in there.

Can't wait to see that Dart get finished Matt

On a side note, just finally put in the 4.10 gears last night and holy shiat! The car feels like a whole new beast now! Very fast 1-2 shift now...
