72 chevelle tranny conversion

hi all im new here and new to classics, my bro inlaw is going to be selling me his 72 chevelle i love the car just as it is but i just dont feel the same of a trill as it would be if it was a manule.

so my ? is where could i get a tranny, or the whole kit (the pedals, shifter, etc)?

also if they make a manule tranny for a 350 will i need to change the drive axle too, like is the tranny longer than the auto or shorter?

There are a ton of options for the manual for a 350. Depends on what route you want to go. 4 speed, 5 speed, 6 speed. They make direct bolt in transmissons and adapter plates for the t-56.
Can we get some more details?
