North Korea and China are a much bigger threat right now. Iran won't move on Israel as long as there is unrest in Iraq because if they do so without a united Arab nation front, they risk the wrath of the rest of the world coming down on them like the hand of God.
This isn't the Crusades anymore. We are losing Iraq because, like Vietnam, our politicians are making the decisions and telling our war-makers to deal with it. We should have buttoned this up inside of a year but we were too busy being "nice" about it.
If Iran does move on Israel, they will be acting with the verbal backing of the rest of the Arab but none of the physical support. They think the guerilla tactics will win but they are falsly assuming so because of what I said above. The Arab countries have tons of money but they cannot match the technological superiority of Great Britain and the rest of the European Union let alone the United States.
If they go and make a stupid move like that, the U.S. will not be the only ones standing in the way or coming to the rescue. Besides, Israel has balls. They shelled Lebanon and were held back by the U.S. not Hezbollah. We pressured them to stop and they knew they were going to put themselves in a bind. They would have exterminated Lebanon if we had let them. Especially since they would have been rolling on bright, shiney, new US weaponry to do so.
NK and China are a much bigger threat. NK because that crackpot in charge will escalate things over a fucking Segway, Barbie dolls and NBA broadcasts. China is a threat not just militarily but economically too. They have us by the short hairs and almost nobody here knows it.

You're right, he's a little man trying to be a big man. He doesn't have enough fuel to drive his tanks to the line and back. He does have missiles he can lob into SK, but then what? Is he going to over-run the country with millions of NK soldiers all with the promise that "there's food down there"?
With all of what NK has, they would go out like a light bulb. One hit on a power plant, and the whole frigging country would be in the dark.

USA Planning Persian Gulf Build-Up As Warning To Iran

The Pentagon is planning a major buildup of Naval forces in and around the Persian Gulf as a warning to Iran, it was reported last night.

The buildup, which would included a second aircraft carrier to the one already there is being proposed as a response to what US officials view as increasingly provocative acts by Iran, David Martin reported on CBS EVENING NEWS.
Recent Iranian naval exercises in the Persian Gulf, support for Shiite militias in Iraq, and its nuclear enrichment program which US intelligence believes is designed to produce a bomb." CBS added, "Military officers say the buildup would take place after the first of the year, not to actually attack Iran but to discourage its leaders from spreading their Shiite revolution."

Question is, what are we going to do about the crime hike here in the states??? I'm sick and tired of hearing about the rest of the world, when we have children here in the states being raped brutally assulted, people murdered and people being abducted....I'm scared of the maniacs here in our own backyard...I could care less about what some nut job has up his sleeve over seas....We have nukes aimed at them and thats the way we should handle it, if needed...Lets focus on Crime at home for a change!!
