whats a good time for a 3100lb
elcamino?, '78 305cid mild upgrades
some were around 300hp 290pt.
trans th400 w/kit. 235-55-16
good years all in good condition.

300 hp out of a mild set up 305? Anyway, if you've got 300 hp (assuming this is RWHP?)... I'd guess high 8's low 9's in the 1/8th mile at between 78-83 mph on that car. 1/4 mile would be high 13's low 14's maybe. If you're getting 300 rwhp out of a 305... you're gonna need more than "mild upgrades". With street tires you may not see anywhere near those numbers unless you can really drive and really know how to launch a car on street tires. My old Formula ran 8.50's on drag radials and 8.70's - 8.80's on street tires with me rolling out of the hole. Someone who couldn't launch on street tires would have been lucky to see 10's!
