No really, it is!

This...

...ate a chipmunk and what looks like a birds nest with 3 eggs in it.

I gotta get the pictures off of my friend's cellphone.

I did brakes the other day and had the truck up in the air. I pulled the driver's side rotor off and there was this crusty, charred thing sticking out of the vent on the rotor. I looked at the dust shield and there were tufts of hair stuck to it. I looked inside the rotor and there was this badly charred body of what looks like a chipmunk stuck in the vents. Don't know when it got there but it looks like the truck sucked it up while driving down the road. Had four little black pegs where the feet got burned off. It was quite disgusting. That wheel doesn't feel like it's out of balance anymore though!

The birds nest, looks like it fell down between the bed and the cab. There were broken shell pieces with some feathers stuck between the walls. Well, the bird must have used nylon string in the nest at one point because it looks like the drive shaft snagged the string at some point, ripped the whole nest down and wrapped it all up. The eggs must have still been in it because there shell pieces all over the bottom of the truck. Most of the nest was wedged in the rear u-joint too.

A few years ago, I had to replace the upper grill because a bird got wedged in there on the highway and cracked a huge chunk out of it. It fell down behind the bumper and got baked on the intercooler heat exchanger and oil cooler. Took 3 hours of cleaning to get all the stinky bird goo out of it.

I also tried to avoid a rabbit one time but he ended up getting caught by the passenger front wheel. Must have bounced up into the wheel well because I remember hearing thumping for a half mile or so then it stopped. There was rabbit goo all over the wheel well. Took a good bit of scrubbing for that too.

I'm usually kidding when I say it will eat children and small animals if I'm not careful. I'm starting to think it's true!

How did your intercooler "bake a bird"? No way does it get that hot. Does it even HAVE an intercooler? Do you even KNOW what you drive? Are you sure you know it's a FORD and you're not calling it a DODGE or something?

Jesus H. Tap Dancin' Christ what is your fucking problem?

The intercooler heat exchanger can get quite hot but if you actually READ and COMPREHENDED my post you'd see that the oil cooler had something to do with that too. Surface temps on the oil cooler will reach over 200 degrees.

So no, the intercooler doesn't necessarily get that hot but the other stuff around it does.

Oh yeah and the black paint sucks to try and keep clean. It's a yellowish green right now from all the pollen. I'd wash it but during these couple of weeks every year I can't be outside too long or my allergies kick my ass.

Same here on keeping black paint clean and the allergies.

Nice truck! What kind of times are you running with it?

It's never run down a drag strip in anger. It went down a drag strip once to recover a broken car, that was it.

It's been on road courses at Watkins Glen and Summit Point and will likely hit Thunderbolt Raceway when that gets finished later this year.
