The fire investigator says he thinks in started at the battery.
All I know is, that was the hottest car I've ever owned!

I guess it was about as hot as any can get.

Now you've got yourself a real scrap car... Use it to build the newer of the two behind it. Although... I think the 82 would be better, since it already has a cage and all... I mean, you wouldn't want all that 4cyl. turbo power gettin' away or something...

Maybe use the Chrysler engine in the other!!!

Then you can have a "twin turbo" Mustang!

Where were you pulling air for that intercooler? Or was that just still there as a placeholder until something else got put in.

Still sucks though. Hope you had some marshmallows...

That IC wasn't worth a shit, but as I remember hearing things, after the front mount showed up, something about the seller had him

off.. Prolly the fact it was like 10days late, so he returned it. Good thing too, or it would've been another ruined brand new part. The turbo looks fine to me, and I agreed with the fire inspector(before I new what he said)... Looked like the battery exploded and caused all that.

I checked value on the car... Average is over $4,800 w/o the turbo drivetrain. And since they won't be considering that DT when writing the check, I hope they give him at least the average condition value. As for buying an LS1... You wouldn't want that Jay... He'd wind up showing people how to make that run perfectly!

Funny thing is, if he had the time to build an LS1, I think he'd be all over it.

I was using that IC, temporarily. I intended to install the FMIC I ordered but, there were problems with the first kit (as Grape Ape stated) and I didn't even have time to order a new one.
I'm in the middle of buying a new house and I'm too busy to install it anyway, so I didn't get serious about buying a new FMIC.
On the other hand, I re-installed that (factory) IC because, believe it or not, it made a huge difference in the air charge temperature (based on driving it both ways).

That's prolly true. I know I can (and did) get one to run in the 10s. Too bad it wasn't mine!

But as much as I like the F-body, I most likely wouldn't build one. I'd prolly put one in a Ranger, or some other form of blasphemy! LOL And, I prolly want to start with the LS2 anyway!

Yeah, things are tough all over.
It won't run now. I suppose I could install a K20A, but then I figure, I could push it just as fast and that doesn't seem like fun.
