Well after almost a year from going to the track I went to my first test n tune last night to try out my new Pereformabuilt lvl 2 4L60E and a YANK PT 4000 TC. I'm still using the 10 bolt so I used my Nittos.

A new best of 11.65 @ 115.73 with a 1.602 60'r and I spun.

Real happy with the new set up but have some tuning to deal with.

Not bad at all! I miss my LS1's quite often. I plan on getting something in the near future if all goes well. What was the weather like on your run? Just curious.

Alter Ego LS1JAY: You'd get better times if you trade it in for a Mustang!

P.S. Congrats Man on the Times!

It feels nice to make a few good runs after sitting out for awhile. Congratulations!

Yes Sir it most certainly does. My burnouts were not up to par even though the crowd was into it I am for sure rusty.

The weather that day was in the high 60's but it was very gusty. Almost a head wind the entire night. None the less I had a great time.

I'll use some sticky tires next week and hopefully the 10 bolt will stay together for a couple of passes.

Let us know how you do next time out!

You can count on it.

What track did you go to? Columbus? I think you're somewhere near Dayton, right? Never really spent time in that area, but do they have a track nearby?

I only know of two north of Columbus. The renowned "NORWALK" which is an excellent track with some neat "attractions" next to it, but otherwise looks rather unpleasant to me, and Thompson, where I clearly remember having been pretty mad at track officials for not noticing my engine parts scattering across the track, and continuing to allow races. Thompson looks awesome though and I hear it's sticky these days.

Yeah Grape Ape I live outside of Dayton. We have a local 1/4 mile track in Xenia, Ohio.
Its been there I think since the mid 50's. I've been going there a looong time. They have made improvements over the years and they get alot of business. Kil-Kare even has a 5/8 miles oval track for those who like to turn left.

It's just more expensive to add the left turns. There's an oval dirt track about 8miles from me. SOLD OUT like ever sat. night it's open. It's high banked and all, but I've never actually gone through the gate to watch. I'm 45m from Daytona if I wanna see a roundyround. And there's another track about 2/3rd to Daytona which is real busy too, and gets nationally known drivers regularly. Also dirt.

I think I had heard Xenia has a track, but I've never been there. Good luck with that. A few more passes might just be an improbement without other changes since you had been away so long.

You have a good point Grape Ape. The wife says I can't go much faster because I'll need a roll cage and I'm not allowed to install one. I can get by without the cage on test n tune but I'll have to sand bag it at 11.50 on bracket night. She hated the cage I had in my 73 Cuda but that was a 10 point cage and only had front seats.
