LOL... That idea's been running around alot lately. I like it too. Let's sell our export to match the price of our imports, where commodities are concerned. Ontop of that, let's drill our own oil too!
With all the shit being spewed by leftists we'd have an infinite supply of energy. If they ever run out of insane crap to say, we could just kill the hippies and power cars off their rotting corpses. There's no downside.

I seem to recall seeing something about a landfill being designed so that methane from decaying garbage could be collected and combusted to produce electricity. I believe the power plant was modular so it could mostly be moved to another site after 20 or so years when the site no longer produced enough methane to fire the plant.

you idiot. do you realize how drilling for oil over here would devastate our eco system? dead bird, sea life, all kinds of animals! you just don't get it do you? i can see that you have the kill em all thing going on. more proof that your some uneducated redneck! you were definately born in the south, because most people as you leave the southern states are more intelligent. i know i live in florida now but i'm not from there!

And apparently the REST of the world with oil doesn't HAVE any birds, sea life, or all kinds of animals, right, DUMBASS? Only an idiot would think our drilling would be MORE harmful than drilling done by other countries. We have the most stringent rules, the cleanest ways of drilling, and the most advanced knowledge of what works for the environment. At this time, oil is a necessity for the country and infact most of the world to do business. Failing to drill for oil now will only REQUIRE drilling for it later, at an even higher cost. Taking the approach that "Fools rush in" is one thing... But we've waited over THIRTY(30) YEARS... No more time for fools. We nned to drill, period, because we have no other means of moving the average vehicle.
