My Tranny Is All F'd Up...

OK i have an Automatic Tranny in one of my project cars. she goes into drive,1 and2 with no problem. the problem is when i need to back up...it doesnt happen. all other gears work except for reverse. its like being in fucking neutral..any ideas?

Ya man take it to aamco. They'll fix reverse.

But then you'll only have 1st and 2nd.

well the car is my POS. its a renault, and it does have overdrive.

well i got me a 944 already. and i'm fixin this carfor the hell of it...basically b/c noone has one around anymore.. i got extra transmissions and shit. but i just wanna know what could be wrong with that lil fucker

Change the tranny if you gotta a few spare trannys lying around. Then I'd unload it when I could.
