Whataya think of this....

Someone tell me what options this has for engine size, pre-stroker.. Fairly limited I suppose, but I'm wondering what people think it is.

Posted by: FORMULA DEATH

RB w/B1 heads.

Posted by: superMOPARman

Thats what I would have to say..

Posted by: Grape Ape

But how many cubic inches in that engine design... 340, 383, 440 etc.. ?? What's the largest of this design?

Posted by: FORMULA DEATH

413 starting in 59 or so through the traditional 440 to modern mega blocks of like 540 cubic inches.

Posted by: Grape Ape

Thanks. I thought "440" must be it, since the guy who sent the pic said it's a 511c.i. motor. Also said it's in (not today) a 68 Coronet or something... Said it made 982hp I think. That's allot, N/A.

Posted by: FORMULA DEATH

Yeah it looks like a pretty typical race setup, KOS etc. .

Well that's what I said... Guy told me it's a driver. I said no way. He said "you're right."... Whatever. He said allot, but I only cared that he tell me about that as a driver. I mean, would you make that a daily driver? I know I wouldn't. Steve might... but he's weird like that.

Posted by: FORMULA DEATH

It looks like it has nitrous, doesn't look like a DD engine, but who knows?

Posted by: Grape Ape

Oh it's nitrous alright..

Posted by: FORMULA DEATH

And no vacuum advance. Looks race.

Posted by: Grape Ape

Yeah, he told me it's race after I told him I couldn't see that as a street driver. He just didn't say what it runs, when it runs. Just that it's powerful and the engine isn't in it.

Me likee shiny engine...It's perty....Is that a wet set-up on the nitrous?

Yer kiddin', right? Of course it is. Basically, anytime you see both red and blue fittings, it's a wet kit. But, in a case such as this, it's a "fogger" style, and all those are wet systems. well, all the ones I've seen anyway.

Not to familiar with the juice...lol...

Why not? I know of two challengers in the area black 73 and a
red 71 that make in the area of a 1000 horse with big inch RB's that are drivers. Red one has a personalised licence plate that says FATAL.

I don't run vacuum advance on the street anyways, I just have one light spring in my car.... Probly just lock it right out with my new cam. 112 degrees of overlap!

Cars making anywhere near 1000hp without a power adder don't get driven on the street. The idea just doesn't make sense. And anyone who would, or says they would drive a car like that on the street just isn't thinking.

Mostly I'm talking about a regular daily driver, tho' there are those of us who have driven our ten second cars everyday; its heaven.

Both cars are blown. I know of street driven cars in the 700-800 horse range with no power adder..... It's called BIG INCHES! Matter of fact there is an Orange Road Runner around that layed down 760 lbs/ft @ the rear wheels, naturally aspirated, pump gas, big inch wedge!!!!! Actually I believe the OLE MAN has a car in that range.... Better not tell him he can't drive it on the street!

Posted by: Grape Ape

The OLE MAN lives in California... He's lucky to be able to drive a golf cart!

700+rwhp, 700+rw ft. lbs. torque...Naturally aspirated Street driver...Pump gas

Maybe a, "once in awhile on Saturday night, driver"...

Posted by: DODGE_MAIN

I'm not asking you if you believe it, I'm telling you it's true...... But then again it'llrun has a 9 second rustang

Posted by: Grape Ape

Unlike you, I DO have a powerful car... And it's not a Dodge!

How is it that the rest of us hardly know of any of these super high output cars you always speak of, but you seem to see them everyday? And of course, they're always DODGE cars! You'd think Dodge is the only car capable of high HP, if only reading your lopsided viewpoint. Of course, that's not even close to true and oddly, Dodge cars from the 60's and 70's are some of the most rare and difficult to find. I guess they're all in Canada...And in your neighborhood...

I can't tell you how much I doubt you've ever had a powerful, or quick car... I know you've never tried to drive anything with 500 or more rwhp on the street though, or you wouldn't be so quick to tell us how common these Dodge's you always brag about are. They're some of the most hard to find cars made by "The Big Three" but... you know of all of them, it appears. Personally, I'm aware that it's so rare to see a car with more than 500rwhp, most people are in awe when they do see one, and even moreso when it's done without a power adder. More still, when it's done with pump gas.

Wanna bring that "gnarly" 1982 Dodge truck to Florida or Ohio and show me how badly it outruns Mustangs? I mean, I have a Mustang and everything...

Posted by: DODGE_MAIN

Hits the defense mechanism! Stop lyin about yr "rustang" and I'll stop bringin it up! Actually I know of a Black Ford Mustang in excess of 1000 horse that's driven on the street power comes from a 572 inch big block chevy.... Remember I posted it up in the pit awhile ago? Well gee I know of alot of quick cars since I have been into drag racing and performance in general all my life (my dad got me into it) and since I'm a Mopar Freek I'll talk about the MOPARS! What a chump

Actually Rustangs are the most difficult to find ( in seriousness) And yeah there is alot of old muscle cars around in Alberta, it's an oil province and alot were purchased back then, and the dry climate seems to preserve them pretty good..... and the drag racing thing has always been big here..... Alot of big names came out of Alberta.
