I am considering XM satillite radio for my car. Opinions, or has anyone purchased this yet? The morning radio time is really starting to suck! Here in Dayton Ohio it seems like every other station is now a syndicated talk show from the West coast, I want tunes.......

Don't you have to subscribe to it??? Before I pay to listen to the tunes I would just listen to a burnt disc

i usually just burn discs...

but i do know a few people with XM and they love it....but they use their cars alot and get their money's worth out of it.

nope, no coverage at all in NJ. not until next year but Circuit Shitt, Breast Buy and this local chain called Tweeter are pushing it hard even though you can't use it here.

Yeah burning CD's is an option, but the selection is usually the same ole same ole. I try keep adding to my mixed CD's. Yes you do need to subsribe to the service. I have seen that there is now a module that can be transported from one vehicel to another. I have two cars plus the wifes vehicle, this tranferable module has sweetend the idea of XM a little.

I have XM. Ill never go back. You have to buy an XM ready deck and an antanna, then call up the 800 number pay your 9.99 a month and then........... ahhhhhh more static free channels than you'll ever know what to do with. No censoring the DJ's "when they do come on" Mine has never lost signal either.

Well my g/f has XM and she loves it too, hell i like it too but static free yes but she has lost signal several times. Hell i know it's no big deal or anything and it only last a couple seconds but it can get on your nerves after a few times. I like the comedy channels on that thing....150 & 151!!
