The ABS light on my girlfriend's Grand Am is on and won't turn off. She took it in to have diagnostics run. I wasn't there, but her dad was and doesn't remember exactly what they said was wrong with it. The estimate seemed a little expensive. I looked at the paper they gave her and this is what it said:

	C1273 VES Act circuit open switch on pump broken

I tried to do some digging on the net to see what that meant and what came up was Master Cylinder Isolation Valve. Does this sound right? If so, does it require a lot of special tools to change? I can't even find a listing for the part anywhere. I am thinking the best bet would be to have the garage install it since I can't find any real information about it, but I am still curious as to what we are getting for the $175.

What year is the car?

It is a 95 gt with the 3.1
