I don’t see any Hemification kits for the Small Block 340 in my 73 Road Runner. I heard that the new Hemi truck is a small block. Is there any reason I couldn’t buy heads for one of those and bolt them on? If there is, what about heads for one of the 331 Hemis from the 50s? Are there things that would keep these heads from fitting?

the new hemia block is vastly different along with the cam firing order. the 331 hemi heads OMG those thing are bigger each then your whole 340.

I'm not even sure if the new Hemi shares the same bore spacing with the smallblock; they were designed from a clean sheet of paper - or actually, a blank CAD file. Some of the early Hemis may have shared the same bore spacing, but given the way a Hemi's intake and exhaust ports are ordered differently from Wedge heads, you wouldn't be able to use a 340 cam in it. If you want to Hemify your Road Runner, you are better off transplanting in a complete Hemi of some sort.
